Apologies to all those who are offended by my comments. We all have the right to freedom of speech but no need to be so personal, especially Judy. Why bring my family into this?
Really don’t understand what Currie is complaining about. If he picked up and read some of the other freebies and paid for publications here, he’d have a coronary at what some of them try and pass off as jokes. Simple solution John, if you don’t have a sense of humour, simply stop reading jokes pages.
John Currie, get a life !
Can only presume that John Currie is joking with his ludicrous comments. Seriously John, you need to get over yourself big time.
Excellent magazine, and look forward to picking it up every month, ignore this fool chaps, and keep on doing what your doing including the Jokes Page.
Just read the comments placed by John Currie on here and i’m flabbergasted that someone could take such offence to a JOKES page.
Mr Currie, I am of Irish blood, but I don’t take any offence at any jokes about the Irish, indeed I laugh at most of them. I really feel that you need to go and see someone about your disposition, as it really is affecting you in a bad way.
John Currie I feel very sorry for your wife and family if you have either. Must be a right bore living with you.
I for one can’t believe what this “man” has written. John may I ask what planet you have just arrived from. Where ever it is they seemingly don’t have a sense of humour there.
Please John keep your outdated/ archaic views to yourself, as no one else wants to hear them. So in short, sod off back to the planet where you came from.
Mr Currie, when I read your comments, I was simply dumbstruck in one instance and the felt sorry for you in the next. Man what is wrong with you, you seriously need to get a life.
Oh dear oh dear John Currie, we ourselves read the Tim every month and especially like reading the jokes page. Not sure what your problem is, other than you obviously don’t have a sense of humour. Mr Currie, you complain about the Tim jokes page! have you looked lately at what is going on in the world around you? I Very much suspect your blinkered opinion will stand alone when it comes to humour. If you don’t like the Jokes page, why did you read it in the first place as you obviously suffer from a lack of in any humour at all. I am so glad that I don’t personally know anyone like you.
I have already sent an e-mail but I repeat my concerns about the racist jokes published in the September edition, also jokes about people with disabalities. I can guess that the vasy majority of readers will say ‘It’s all just a joke’ but such remarks are against the lawn and in extremely bad taste. Does TIM want the people to think that ex-pats enjoy such jokes? It is quite possible that the printing of such jokes is illegal and subject to the law. I hope TIM publishes an apology in the next edition and perhaps also publishes the poem ‘And then they came for me’ as an example of how such latent ignorance and prejudice can affect so many people. Such jokes are NOT funny especially in a world where there are tensions.
