NOTICE for anyone transferring money to/from UK. I have personaly just used the services of http://www.transferwise.com/invite
I have to report that it all went well & is by far the cheapest way, that I know to transfer your money. I paid 300 uk pound to their account from my UK bank & it has just been IBAN´d to my cam account in the sum of 357.23€. They only charge 1 pound if you transfer 300, it is a bit more if you transfer a higher sum, but still better than the 2% Nationwide charge. Try it out & save some money...

Hmm, I had a look at their site - if it works fine but where are the financial guarantees and support if things go wrong? Not sure I would risk large amounts.

Well with all big banks losing billions do you really get any guarantees??? as it happens there is a limit on transactios & if you stick to 300b at a time not a lot at risk..
